The 100,000 square foot ballasted EPDM system was failing.  There was significant “tenting” at the perimeter edge and around the penetrations because the aged sheet had lost its flexibility.  The major retail customer could not afford continued disruption to their operations or damage to products.

New roof: The new 60-mil reinforced TPO roof assembly from Firestone was installed while the store was operational.  Nightly “tie-offs” were performed to ensure that store merchandise would not be damaged as the project progressed.  Northcross removed the ballast with its own gravel vacuum and dump trucks (no on-site containers or dumpsters were required). The heat-welded system is backed by a 15 year labor and material warranty from the manufacturer.
